It's Workshop Wednesday! And we are super excited about having one of our works of art being featured at Tomorrow's event, the 6th Annual Fall in Furniture Love Art show, hosted by Scan Design. All the proceeds from this event will go to benefit Habitat for Humanity and I just wanted to share step by step with you all how we made our super cute entry!
  1. Here's what we did. First, we bought some dollar store, super adorable doll furniture and spray painted it yellow.
  2. Then, We bought a wooden 8 x 10 two inch deep frame at Michael's and spray painted it yellow as well.
  3. Next, we created tiny & super cute polymer clay pieces that would go on our table.
  4. We cut a 8 x 10 Scrapbooking paper and pasted it on our box
  5. Next, we hand painted an adorable little painted and framed it with a tiny frame be bought at Michael's as well
  6. We upcycled an old lace baggie and cut it to look like a fancy table cloth.
  7. Last, we put it all together <3
Hope you all enjoyed it :) Please show us some love <3

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today's craft is perfect for a DIY wedding, bridesmaid gifts, princess tea party, or for the everyday life of a girly girl :). It's a sweet little wristlet that you can wear as an accent or over a long sleeve shirt as cuffs. You can make just one or make a pair <3 whatever you make of them, I can assure you that you will love the outcome! They are delicate and lovely :) The best part is that they are super easy to make and super cheap too!

Here's What you need:
  • Lace trim (I used 99 cent Wyla lace by the spool) I would be lying if I told you I remembered where I bought it but I think it was Joann's Fabric.
  • Your Choice of ribbon
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors
  • Pretty button or embellishment

Here's how you do it:
  1. Measure your wrist and carefully cut two pieces of trim using your measurements.
  2. Place both pieces of trim together so the pretty edges of the lace are facing outward and using hot glue, paste the trim edges together carefully.
  3. Cut a ribbon about six inches longer than your wrist measurement.
  4. Center your ribbon in the middle section of your lace (the place where you pasted the trims together. Apply one drop of hot glue in the very middle of your ribbon and paste down to cover your trim edge. Do the same thing at the edges of the wristlet. (this is sounding a bit confusing, hope the pictures help. It really is super simple!) Make sure that you center it correctly so you have enough ribbon to tie on your wristlet on the back of your wrist.
  5. Make a ribbon bow and glue it down on top of the middle of the ribbon where you had pasted it down.
  6. Embellish your bow. Keep it simple for an elegant look or just go crazy for a more funky style :)

It's Fashion Friday!!! I'm sorry I've been away this week, a lot going on as usual plus I've been a little under the weather. Anyway, here we are for another Fashion Friday and I just love this idea that I saw on My Chic Life. I've always hated how society (unfortunately including myself sometimes) just lets the entertainment world and media dictate what is in style and what they should like. At Mashia Crafts we stand for individuality, personality & identity. We love pieces that show who you really are and wearable art that tells a story, your story!

So i thought that these glasses where a great way to show the world who I am and that I simply don't care if people think I'm crazy because I am, and I love it! So, here's how I made them:

You will need:
  • A pair of glasses
  • beads, buttons, flowers & anything that defines you!
  • Hot glue gun

Steps
  1. Choose your colors or if you are crazy like me, choose every color!
  2. Carefully, using your hot glue gun, paste your elements on the edges of your glasses.Try your best not to get glue on your lenses.
  3. Wear them and don't care if they stare!
Warning!!
It will take you a while to get used to seeing through the lenses. Also, people WILL stare! But guess what? These glasses are great conversation starters and for a business owner like me, who stands for creativity and uniqueness, what a better moment to hand them your business card?

I don't know if it's just me but Thursdays are the most beautiful day in my opinion. Not only is it the last truly hardworking day of the week but it brings so much excitement and anticipation for the weekend to come! and now, Thursdays mean so much more to me because they help me reflect on the things or people that I am Thankful for. Today I am thankful for my precious nieces and nephews, today specifically for a tiny birthday boy named John Lucas. He is one of those kids that just steals your heart away and I am thankful that he is part of my life and that I get to be with him and see him grow up every day!

Last weekend he turned three and he wanted to have a Doctor's themed party! I loved the idea so I went online and found some beautiful inspiration. Check out this super lovely blog about party ideas! Keep scrolling down to see pictures and inspiration on how to have a DIY Doctor themed party!
The Invitation was designed by me! check out my portfolio here. It includes an adorable tear off appointment card :)
For the medicine jars, we created a cross stencil with masking tape and spray painted the red cross on them. Then filled them with marshmellows, twizlers, and gummies. The Tic-Tacs were a super big hit! We literally just drew a red cross on a small piece of paper and wrapped the top of the tiny boxes.
Each kid got to take home one of these. They LOVED it!
Our PR & AD Specialist, Angie baked these unbelievably delicious and adorable cake pops with the colors of the party.
We bought mike & ikes and color coded them. After the Doctor did his check up on the patients, he would suggest which pill to take. We decorated the Docor's offcie with this adorable Doctor Tool set from Target <3
The Doctor's outfit was custom made and he looked................ super adorable to say the least! ...and just look at that patient <3
Hope you guys enjoyed this Doctor themed party as much as I did!

As you can see, I love Valentine's Day! It's one of my favorite holidays because it celebrates my favorite thing in the world. Love :) So, in honor of my awesome husband, here's a super quick and adorable tutorial that will add that loving charm to your home this Valentine's Day and all year long!

You will need:
  • A wood block
  • Red & White Acrylic Paint
  • Permanent Marker
  • Letter Stamp - I got mine as a Christmas ornament at Michaels
  • Bowl

Here's How:
  1. Pour about a tablespoon of red paint on a bowl, paint the back of your stamp with the red paint and stamp it at the top of your wood block.
  2. Add some white to your bowl and mix well. Paint the back of your stamp with the new mix and stamp it on your wood block, overlapping the first stamp.
  3. Repeat step 2 and stamp it overlapping your previous stamp.
  4. Let it dry.
  5. Once your paint is completely dry, sketch with a pencil what you want to write and then go over it with a permanent marker.
  6. Optional - Screw three big screws on the back and tie a ribbon around it for it to hang.
I hope your man loves it as much as mine did! for more Valentine's day ideas check out our Etsy Store.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope your Monday wasn’t so bad! Today’s recipe is very easy and a little silly. But, it has an adorable back story that will definitely make you wanna try them out!

Here’s the story.
About 15 years ago, three little sisters and one best friend from Colombia, South America were very very bored and they decided to play kitchen. But they didn’t want to play with their kitchen toys, they wanted to play with real food! However, their grandmother was very strict and didn’t let them play with all the fun stuff so they figured it was okay to play with easy, no mess stuff that they found in the fridge. They grabbed some crackers, cheese and limes and decided to experiment.

They were very surprised at how good their invention turned out. So much so, that they even made up a name for their new recipe and they fantasized about it one day being in a fancy cook book. Pepiliana Crackers was the name they went with.

Today, the sisters are grown ups but still young at heart and last night reminiscing about their childhood, they decided to make Pepiliana Crackers and feature them on the Mashia Blog! Their inner little girls were freaking out.. (BTW in case you haven’t noticed this story is about me, my sisters and best friend) who would have known that our recipe would one day be featured on such a prestigious blog?! :)  Last night we laughed as we remembered our fun childhood days and we actually realized, that Pepiliana Crackers are still pretty good! They're perfect for a late night craving and the best part, they are under 150 calories per serving! So, here’s the recipe, and you’re welcome!

You will need:
2 Servings
  • 8 Saltine Crackers
  • 2 slices of Muenster, Mozzarella or Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Lime
  • Salt

Instructions
  1. Cut your cheese slices into fours.
  2. Layer ¼ of a slice of cheese on each cracker
  3. Top with freshly squeezed lime juice and salt. (The more lime and salt, the better)
  4. Pepiliana Crackers are best when enjoyed as soon as they are served. You don’t want them to get soggy. Also, they go GREAT with coke :)

It's Workshop Wednesday people! Have you thought about what you are doing for your sweet valentine? There's almost exactly one month left so preparations need to start taking place! How about this lovely painted egg that contains a hidden message, packaged in a 100% recycled container? Adorable huh? the best part: you can make it for under $2! First, lets go over how to recycle your used 2 liter bottles into super cute packages for gifts such as this one.

You will need:
1 2 Lt. coke bottle
Scissors
Ribbon

Here's How:
Now for the egg you will need:
  • 1 Egg
  • Acrylic Paints
  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Kraft Shredded paper
  • Needle
  • Bowl

Instructions
  1. Using a needle, poke a tiny hole on the top side of the egg.
  2. Flip the egg bottom side up and poke another hole, but this time a little bit bigger, about 1/4 in round.
  3. Very carefully, blow air through the smaller hole on your egg. The inside of the egg will come out of the other hole so make sure there is a bowl there to catch it. (this process was actually kind of gross but if you just hang in there it will be worth it)
  4. Once everything comes out, rinse out your eggshell and let it dry out overnight.
  5. Decorate your egg with acrylic paints or as you wish and on a tiny paper, write out your secret message.
  6. Roll up your paper and insert it through the larger hole on your egg.
  7. Now, add some shredded paper to the bottom of your plastic container and carefully place your egg, put a bow on it and voila!
This adorable gift would also be a super cute baby shower invitation, baby birth announcement and more! Also, try recycling all sorts of bottles. Mountain dew and sprite for a hint of green package and water bottles for a tiny gift :) Also, filling them up with colorful candy would look so adorable!
