Happy Tuesday everyone! It's been a while since i've posted a recipe so I wanted to make a good comeback :) So, I've been on a very low calorie, low carb diet (which is pretty much equal to the death of me) and I've had to get really creative so that I don't get bored with the few food options I have. The other day, me and the hubby went out on a mini date to Chipotle and I realized that there are some pretty healthy choices but you gotta choose right! Anyways, eating out can get expensive and I figured I have better control of what exactly goes in my food if I make it myself so I created the Skinny Chipotle Bowl. Healthy, Very easy to make and super duper satisfying!
Here's what you'll need:
496 cal total / 2 servings = 247 cal per meal
19 carbs total / 2 servings = 9.5 carbs per meal
Hi guys! Wow, its been forever since I was here! I've been crazy busy with my new job at an amazing weight loss company called Medi-Weightloss.
But today is Thankful Thursday and I can't help but to smile and be thankful that I have an amazing husband and a great relationship with him. So I wanted to quickly share a couple of tips on how to stay happily Married. (because believe it or not, I am a marriage counselor :))
When me an my hubby were dating we were sooooooo in love and literally everybody I knew would tell me I'd grow out of it but I never listened to them and we never did grow out of it. Yes, there are always hard times and as you learn each other, you'll learn things that you don't necessarily love about each other but with true love and patience you can overcome anything! We work really hard to make sure that we put each other as a priority in our lives and I can honestly say that not only do I love him more now than I did when I was dating him, but I am soooo much more in love with him as well!
One of the secrets to stay in love with your partner is to go on dates! Were you in love when you were dating? if so, why did you stop dating? work? Kids? Time? whatever it is, Invest into each other and you'll see what it can do! <3
check out this list of fun and cheap dates!
Another really helpful site is Two of Us there is tons of hints, tips and information on how to have a better relationship. Whether you are still dating, engaged or married.
So, I am going on a date tonight and I hope you do to :) <3
It's Monday again! Time to get saving :) As you may have already noticed I hate wasting money. I love finding good deals, and its not because I am cheap, but simply because I love being able to buy more things for less while having the opportunity to be creative. So today is about spending vs. earning. How many times have you loved something at a store and thought "I could buy this, or I could make this and sell it and make money?!" Yep, that's me, every day :)
So, about seven years ago my beloved mother and International painter, Angela Schiappa :) hand painted an beautiful T-shirt for me which I adore. However, years passed and weight was gained :( and as much as I cherished my T-shirt, I feared it was time to let it go. But I just couldn't bear the fact that my Mom's work would end up at Goodwill or even worse the trash!! So I decided to upcycle it! I found a book that My hubby gave me sometime ago that is filled with super awesome ideas to re-make old T-shirts (It's titled: 99 Ways to cut, sew, trim & tie your T-shirt) He got mine at our favorite bookstore Barnes & Noble.
So, anyways for this tutorial I used #5 except I'm not very good at sewing so I omitted the pocket :) I've posted the page for directions below I hope you guys enjoy it. You can use any t-shirt design, maybe even a vintage one. After you make it, consider selling it cause FYI the store bought tank below retails for $29.00 at Urban Outfitters!
It's Workshop Wednesday! And we are super excited about having one of our works of art being featured at Tomorrow's event, the 6th Annual Fall in Furniture Love Art show, hosted by Scan Design. It's Fashion Friday!!! I'm sorry I've been away this week, a lot going on as usual plus I've been a little under the weather. Anyway, here we are for another Fashion Friday and I just love this idea that I saw on My Chic Life. I've always hated how society (unfortunately including myself sometimes) just lets the entertainment world and media dictate what is in style and what they should like. At Mashia Crafts we stand for individuality, personality & identity. We love pieces that show who you really are and wearable art that tells a story, your story!
So i thought that these glasses where a great way to show the world who I am and that I simply don't care if people think I'm crazy because I am, and I love it! So, here's how I made them:

It will take you a while to get used to seeing through the lenses. Also, people WILL stare! But guess what? These glasses are great conversation starters and for a business owner like me, who stands for creativity and uniqueness, what a better moment to hand them your business card?
I don't know if it's just me but Thursdays are the most beautiful day in my opinion. Not only is it the last truly hardworking day of the week but it brings so much excitement and anticipation for the weekend to come! and now, Thursdays mean so much more to me because they help me reflect on the things or people that I am Thankful for. Today I am thankful for my precious nieces and nephews, today specifically for a tiny birthday boy named John Lucas. He is one of those kids that just steals your heart away and I am thankful that he is part of my life and that I get to be with him and see him grow up every day!
Last weekend he turned three and he wanted to have a Doctor's themed party! I loved the idea so I went online and found some beautiful inspiration. Check out this super lovely blog about party ideas! Keep scrolling down to see pictures and inspiration on how to have a DIY Doctor themed party!
The Invitation was designed by me! check out my portfolio here. It includes an adorable tear off appointment card :)
For the medicine jars, we created a cross stencil with masking tape and spray painted the red cross on them. Then filled them with marshmellows, twizlers, and gummies. The Tic-Tacs were a super big hit! We literally just drew a red cross on a small piece of paper and wrapped the top of the tiny boxes.
Each kid got to take home one of these. They LOVED it!
Our PR & AD Specialist, Angie baked these unbelievably delicious and adorable cake pops with the colors of the party.
We bought mike & ikes and color coded them. After the Doctor did his check up on the patients, he would suggest which pill to take. We decorated the Docor's offcie with this adorable Doctor Tool set from Target <3
The Doctor's outfit was custom made and he looked................ super adorable to say the least! ...and just look at that patient <3
Hope you guys enjoyed this Doctor themed party as much as I did!
